- About the Braille
Making Information Accessible Through Braille
Established in January 2006, the Braille Publishing Unit (BPU) of the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) is dedicated to promoting equal access to information for blind and visually impaired individuals in Malaysia.
Through Braille transcription and tactile diagram production, BPU transforms printed materials into accessible formats, enabling individuals with visual impairments to access information, pursue education, and participate more independently in everyday life.
Our services support individuals, educational institutions, businesses, government agencies, and organisations seeking to make their information and services more inclusive.
Braille Transcription
We convert printed text into Braille, making written information accessible to Braille readers. Our transcription services cover a wide range of materials, from educational resources and official documents to everyday informational and communication materials.
Tactile Diagram Production
We convert printed charts, plans, maps, and other visual materials into embossed tactile diagrams, allowing blind and visually impaired individuals to explore and understand information through touch.
