Message from the President

YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Tengku Azlan Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar
President, Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB)

As the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) celebrates 75 years of service in 2026, we reflect with pride on our journey of empowering blind and visually impaired individuals across Malaysia.

Throughout the years, MAB has remained committed to enhancing the quality of life of the blind and visually impaired community through education, vocational training, rehabilitation, employment opportunities, and advocacy. Our continued progress has been made possible through meaningful partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, corporate organisations, and dedicated supporters.

Our commitment to expanding opportunities is further reflected in the development of the MAB Regional Training Centre in Temerloh, which aims to strengthen vocational training, entrepreneurship, and independent living opportunities for the blind and visually impaired community.

As we look ahead, MAB remains dedicated to promoting greater inclusion, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring that blind and visually impaired individuals have the opportunities and support they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

I extend my sincere appreciation to our members, staff, donors, partners, and well-wishers whose unwavering support has enabled MAB to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of the blind and visually impaired across Malaysia.

YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Tengku Azlan Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar
